Background

Published investigative work and a document-led method.

Troy Barile-Simleness is an independent investigative journalist and researcher with published work at WhoWhatWhy and a public source-research guide at Follow the Files. The working method is to locate the underlying record, preserve provenance, separate what the source proves from what it does not, and return material another person can inspect.

Scope

Work is limited to lawful public sources, legally accessible archives, and client-authorized materials. No hacking, credential access, restricted databases, surveillance, deceptive pretexting, harassment, or legal advice.
